Kristin Neff is proud to continue her service to the Waxahachie community as the Assistant Principal at Dunaway Elementary. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Sul Ross State University and her Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University.

With more than two decades of experience in education, Ms. Neff has served students and families in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, North Carolina, and Germany, gaining valuable experience working with diverse learners and school communities. Her career has included teaching science and mathematics in grades 5–8, coaching UIL Math and Number Sense, and implementing collaborative instructional practices that promote student achievement and student engagement.

Prior to joining Waxahachie ISD, Ms. Neff served as the Facilitator of Special Programs at Nolan Middle School in Killeen ISD, where she partnered with teachers, intervention teams, and families to support diverse learners, coordinate specialized services, and ensure equitable access to high-quality instruction. Most recently, she taught eighth-grade science at Coleman Junior High, where she used data-driven instruction to increase student achievement while building strong relationships with students, staff, and families.

Ms. Neff believes every child deserves to feel known, valued, and empowered to succeed. She is passionate about supporting teachers, partnering with families, and fostering a positive, inclusive school culture where high expectations and meaningful relationships help every student thrive. She is excited to be part of the Dunaway Elementary family and looks forward to helping every student experience the Magic of Dunaway—where ALL means ALL!
