Student Illness
 
FEVER at or over 100. The temperature needs to be below 100 for a full 24 hours WITHOUT the use of fever reducing medicines (tylenol, ibuprofen) before the child should return to school. 

VOMITING/DIARRHEA should be excluded from school until symptom free for 24 hours. Exception would be a 1 time episode of either/or as this could be related to other factors and NOT illness 

PINK EYE (conjunctivitis) A student with red painful/itchy eyes particularly with drainage/discharge/crusting should be excluded from school. When the student has been cleared by a medical Dr. or no signs of redness or drainage the child may return to school. 

RINGWORM A child with ringworm on the skin (as long as it can be covered) may attend school. 

LICE- children with live lice shall be excluded from school. If your child is found to have nits only(eggs) they will be allowed to finish out the school day. Before the child is allowed back in the classroom they must be cleared by the nurse and have NO live lice.
