The Dunaway Garden

The first grade teachers have written/and received 2 different grants from The Waxahachie Education Foundation!  Our garden has been in operation since the spring of 2008.  All first graders participate in the planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and sampling the vegetables from our garden.  We also have a Master Gardener, who works with us on a regular basis throughout the year.  At the end of each year, our first graders are certified Junior Master Gardeners!

There are opportunities to help out in our garden during the school year and during the summer.  We have scheduled Garden Days on Fridays during the school year and during the summer, students and their families can come out on most Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.
